Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)
- Reconcile bank statements
- Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist preparing documents for audits
- Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes
- Support timely monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance general ledger accounts
- Assist with payroll processing
- Assist with multi-state registration and compliance matters
- Assist with the annual budget and interim forecasting processes
- Other miscellaneous assignments as identified by the Accounting Manager
Requirements and Skills
- Similar experience as a Staff Accountant or relevant role in accounting
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
- Knowledge of an accounting information system and/or third party payroll system is a plus
- Attention to detail

- Degree in Accounting is a plus
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
